Four peerages, of equal precedence
In fairest Northshield, where we lay our scene
For service rendered in years past and hence,
Where pel’can blood now marks our kind Caoilfhionn
The fated will of queen and king is shown,
For well-earned accolade a boon is asked
Acknowledging her excellence and growth
A peer twice over, recognized at last
The peers and populace will gladly boast,
Admonishments are read, her duties charged
Regalia donned, then she will swear her oath
A loud Vivat! 'Til she’s released at large:
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our efforts will amend.
Shakespearean sonnet, 1597
